Managing how your organisation deals with GDPR
This awareness and training event brings together key experts and leaders in the area of information management and data protection to help managers and those working in digital to better understand major changes to data regulations.
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new legal framework in the EU and UK for processing citizens’ data and will apply from 25 May 2018.
The CPD webinar is aimed at helping you better understand GDPR and the importance of managing its implementation and providing real understanding of it within your teams and suppliers. It will explain terms, such as, ‘personal information’ and ‘legitimate usage’ and why GDPR requires more awareness in your organisation than simply completing a data protection registration application.
The event is part of a series of webinars on GDPR which will also look at its impact on an organisation’s approach to service reform, engagement and innovation.
Speakers include Holly Bremner, from the Centre of Excellence for Information Sharing.
